Why AK raises
Read A limp is a weak range. Players who limp rarely hold premium hands, because they would raise those.
AK wants a big pot against one weak range. A raise builds the pot and thins the field.
If the limper reraises
Say you raise to 5bb and the limper reraises to 18bb. You call 13bb into 24.5bb.
Math So a call needs 34.7% equity. AKo has 38.8% against QQ+ and AK.
Read QQ+ and AK is a common live read for a limp reraise. It is not a solver range.

Should I limp behind with AK to trap?
Aced Poker's limper charts never limp behind with AK. They raise it 100% of the time from every seat.
How much should I raise with AK over limpers?
Raise to 5bb against one limper in position. Add 2bb for each extra limper. From the blinds raise 1bb more.
What if the limper reraises my AK?
A call of a reraise to 18bb needs 34.7% equity. AKo has 38.8% against QQ+ and AK. So the call is fine on raw equity.
